Raising prices
I will admit it; I’m a die hard ebayer. I shop ebay pretty much everyday. Most days there is nothing that I like, but on some days I hit the jackpot with a very good deal. One of the cool features of ebay is the ability to “watch” a favorite item all the way through to the end of the auction bidding. Most items will have no bids until the last day; some get bid up at the very last second. While you are watching an item, and it doesn’t sell, the seller can re-list the item if the auction ended with no bids. The idea of re-listing an item that did not sell is to lower the starting price or shipping charges to make the item more appealing. But in today’s economy, lowering prices is unheard of; raising prices seems to be in style. So until people wake up and start lowering prices, instead of raising them, we will be stuck in this economic slump.
